FLOWERS FOR MY DAD by Yago Cobas Concheiro
For this photographic exhibition, conceived as an installation for the Magic Window, Yago printed flowers on x-ray film that he cropped from wedding pictures from the 90s. The original negatives belong to his late father’s archive, who was a professional photographer. Thus, by partially isolating them from their original context and appropriating them, the artist is able to metaphorically return them as a posthumous homage.
